Companion Support
Our volunteer Companion Care Team supports individuals through the difficult experiences of miscarriage and pregnancy loss. They provide emotional support, guidance through informational support, and a compassionate presence to those who have experienced a pregnancy loss or miscarriage.
Volunteers have received extensive training as a miscarriage doula, holding space for pregnancy loss, and are professionally trained bereavement and trauma-informed individuals.
Support is offered one-on-one with in-person and/or virtual options are available.
Compassionate Community Events
In 2023-2024, Let the Light In hosted the first of two annual events that will continue on. Letting the Light In, an International Wave of Light Candlelight Vigil in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month takes place October 15th each year.
Our Bereaved Mother’s Day Brunch is held the first Sunday in May, this event honors mothers who have lost a child. It's also a day to recognize women who cannot be a mother due to infertility or other health reasons. It is our honor to hold space while building community during this event, balancing the delicate line of grief and gratitude.
Get Involved
As a nonprofit organization, our services are free because of our compassionate community efforts. From peer support, sponsorships, and fundraising events - all donations go directly to supporting our mission through funding dedicated office space, community events, care packages, and resources.
Whether you choose to join us as a donor, a volunteer, or both we welcome you to our compassionate community, rallying around women in their most delicate moments.
